Tournament Prep Program Dear Parents, We’re excited to tell you about our Tournament Prep Program at Del Mar Golf Center — a focused, full-year track for young players who are ready to start competing. This isn’t a one-off clinic. The season runs Monday, August 31 through May 30, giving your child a complete year to build real, lasting skills at a steady pace. Whether they’ve already played in events or are just starting to think about it, this program is built to get them prepared, confident, and comfortable when it counts. To join, players first attend a tryout. We’re holding three, and your child only needs to attend one: Monday, July 27 at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 6 at 5:00 PM Sunday, August 9 at Noon Golf tournaments ask more of a player than a normal practice session — managing nerves, making smart decisions, keeping score, following the rules, and staying focused over several hours. Because of that, the program comes with a set of season commitments we ask every family to be ready for: On-course sessions are mandatory, unless the player is competing in a tournament that day. Play in at least one tournament per month. Try out for their middle-school or high-school golf team. Attend practice once per week. Attend one fitness class per week (two if their schedule allows). Classes meet Mondays and Thursdays from 5:45 to 7:15 PM. The first week of the season includes a complete player assessment — using tools like TPI (a movement screen), power and force-plate testing (how the body generates speed and balance), and 3D motion capture of the swing — so we can build a plan tailored to each child. That first week also includes a mandatory parent meeting so you know exactly what the year looks like. Tuition: $385 per month, which includes: One 90-minute golf class per week Two 60-minute fitness classes per week One 9-hole weekend round per month One 18-hole round at Lomas Santa Fe Executive $75 range credit for practice Space is limited so we can keep the coaching personal.
