We are very excited to announce our first 3-Day Golf Event… The Fly Me Away Invitational. We welcome people from all over to join us from Friday, August 26th to Sunday, August 28th! *All players must have an established handicap to participate* The fun will begin on Friday with par 3, mini golf, and driving range contests at East Potomac. Then we’ll kick off 2-person team Round-Robin match play at Langston on Saturday and finish at East Potomac on Sunday. Detailed timing and schedules will be sent to registered golfers closer to the event. With all golf, unlimited Michelob Ultra beer, 7 meals, and over $1,000 of entry gifts included in the $500 price, every golfer will enjoy an exciting event valued at over $1,700. Format: This is a 2-person team event, flighted by team handicap then playing scratch within the flight. There are six teams in each flight, and every team will play each team in their flight (round-robin format). There are five 9-hole matches throughout the weekend - 3 on Saturday at Langston and 2 on Sunday at East Potomac. Each match is worth 1 point, and each match has a different format: scramble, alternate shot, low ball, high ball, total score. Team with the most points win their flight. Winning team wins rounds of golf and one night's lodging at Troon Resort. All proceeds from this event will benefit the National Links Trust and their mission. Once we are within a month, all entry gifts will have been purchased and we will not be able to issue full refunds. Within 30 days, customers may receive a rain check credit for their rounds of golf to use at a later date and gifts can be arranged for pick-up.
