Welcome to the registration page for the 2023 Fly Me Away Invitational! Early Bird Registration: The first 60 paid and registered players receive a pair of TravisMathew full knit shoes. *Early registration was offered to 2022 participants, there are about 20 spots available for players to be part of the first 60 to receive a pair of shoes.* About the Fly Me Away Invitational: FMA is a 3-day golf tournament from Friday, August 25th to Sunday, August 27th at East Potomac Golf Links and Langston Golf Course in Washington, DC. The weekend kicks off on Friday at Noon with a welcome party and practice rounds, then will compete in 2-person teams throughout five 9-hole matches the rest of the weekend. Players are treated to an all-inclusive special event valued at over $1,500, while celebrating municipal golf in DC and making long-lasting memories. Our first year was incredibly successful; with 72 participants from various states, lots of giveaways, and fun competition. We are excited to recreate the experience for even more participants this year. This is a 2-person team event. Flights will be created based on the combined handicap of each team, with six teams in each flight playing at a similar level. Each team will play the other teams in their flight once (round-robin). Teams will play scratch (0 handicap) within their flight. There are five 9-hole matches throughout the weekend; three on Saturday at Langston and two on Sunday at East Potomac. Each match has a different format: scramble, alternate shot, low ball, high ball, and total score. Each match won is worth 1 point. The team with the most points wins their flight. Flight winners receive access and rounds of golf to an exclusive Troon Resort. *Each player must have an established handicap.* Cancellation Policy: Customers may receive a full refund up to 30 days before the event. Once we are within a month, all entry gifts will have been purchased and we cannot issue full refunds. Within 30 days, customers may receive a rain check credit for their rounds of golf to use at a later date and gifts can be arranged for pick-up.
