This fun and dynamic fitness class is designed specifically for junior golfers ages 8 to 11, focusing on building a strong foundation of physical skills. Rather than early specialization, the class curriculum emphasizes balanced athletic development, helping young athletes improve the agility, balance, coordination, and body control that form the foundation for future success in sports and preventing overuse injuries. The engaging format of the class utilizes games, competitions, and group dynamics to help foster the confidence and love of movement in every participant.
The class consists of one in-person group training session per week (Mondays at 5:00 - 6:00 pm at Edge Golf Performance), supported by at-home activities delivered via the TPI mobile app with instructional videos. A 1:4 coach-to-student ratio ensures each athlete receives focused, individualized coaching while maximizing safety and the effective use of space and equipment.
The Summer 2025 semester class runs from June 16 to August 25. There is a break with no class on August 18. Prorated pricing is available for up to 2 missed classes at a $40 discount per missed class; only available if missed dates are communicated via email to jjedlicka@edgegolfperformance.com before June 16.
Each training session includes a mix of age-appropriate exercises and games to:
- Teach fundamental movements like jumping, running, throwing, crawling, and rotational movements
- Develop hand-eye coordination and touch
- Promote agility, balance, coordination, and stability
- Improve strength and postural control, especially in the core and lower body
