Event: PGA Tour Superstore Challenge Cup – Begins Jan. 22nd Co-sponsored by Clubcorp. Fees: Each week the entry fee is $20 Description: This will be a six week 9 hole golf challenge. Participants each week earn points that accumulate towards two overall winners from each of the three Atlanta locations. The six winners then play an 18 hole championship at Atlanta National Golf Club for a spectacular grand prize – 1-year Membership to a Club Corp Facility. Participants: Each event is limited to the first 12 players registered. If the field is full, players may be placed on a wait list (First Come First Served). If a position opens up he/she will be given the opportunity to take the open spot. Players may pre-register for all six events. These can be set up in U-Schedule. If a player misses the designated check in time (5:45pm) his/her position for that evening may be given to any other player present that is on the wait list, in the order they were placed on the list. Locations: We will utilize several courses each week and different formats of competition. Each store may set their own schedule and format for each week. Courses - Firestone, Congressional, Quail Hollow, and Torrey Pines. Formats - Individual Stroke play, Stableford, and Individual Point Total. Prizes: Weekly prizes for winners(TBD). Points: Individual players will earn points each week based on their finish position in the field. The top 2 overall point earners from each Atlanta location will then play at Atlanta National Golf Club to determine an overall winner. 1st - 12 points 2nd - 11 points 3rd - 10 points . . . 12th - 1 point. Rules: We will use the same rules as we did for the Fall Challenge. If players do not have an official GHIN handicap then the Pro in charge may use his/her best judgment to choose an appropriate handicap for that player. If a player is deemed to have an incorrect handicap then the pro has final say on changing his/her league handicap based on his event scores. Tee times will start promptly at 6:00PM. Players must check in 15 minutes before the start of each event. Missing the check-in time may result in their spot being forfeited to a player on the wait list (if there is one). Players may schedule practice time in the simulators to get a feel for how the interface works. Players should only utilize Teton Pines as a practice course. Settings for each event should be the same each week. I have used the following to keep play moving. Conditions: Firm & Fast Pin Locations: Medium Mulligans: Unlimited we had a few issues with the monitor accidentally reading a strike. (These should be controlled by the Pro) Putting: Set the "Gimmie" range to 12ft. All rules decisions by the Professional monitoring the event are final. We want this to be a fun event. However, with the value of the grand prize we must do our best to be consistent with rules.
