Andre Lacey II was born to Andre and Charlene Dent-Lacey on February 11, 1984 in Augusta, GA. Growing up most of his time was spent at the Boys Club of Augusta and playing basketball. After graduating from Westside Comprehensive High School, He joined the United States Army to serve as Combat Medic. Due to injuries Andre was medically discharged and returned home to Augusta. Lacey, still passionate about serving his community, joined The brotherhood of the Augusta Fire Department. While attending Paine College he developed a passion for teaching kids. He began teaching golf at The Boys and Girls Club of Augusta. Entering the PGA golf program in 2015 Lacey became the only black golf professional in the city of Augusta that was registered with the PGA Associate program, officially following in the footsteps of his trailblazing grandfather, PGA legend Jim Dent. The winner of the Inaugural World Long Drive, 3 time in a row Florida PGA champion, 12 time winner on the PGA Champions Tour and Augusta native. Working as Assistant Golf Professional at the Augusta Municipal Golf Course, Gordon Lakes Golf Course. While working at these facilities Andre has independently operating the only open JR PGA League in the CSRA and has been featured in PGA Magazine(December 2019 Vol 100 issue 12 pages 92-96), The Golf Channel, Shoutout Atlanta, local tv stations and several other media outlets. Prior to Top Golf Augusta time was spent at Augusta National Golf Course, as a tournament assistant learning more about large scale golf operations.
