TopGolf Director of Instruction Rob Steffes has been a PGA member since 2007. Rob grew up in Northern Minnesota and started playing golf with his parents when he was 6 years old. He played on the varsity golf team in High school for 5 seasons. After high school, Rob attended the university of Minnesota – Duluth and then entered into the management field. It wasn’t long before he realized his passion was golf and went back to school and got his degree in Sports Management with emphasis in golf. Rob since has worked in Arizona and Florida. He’s has been the Head Golf Professional at two different courses over the past 12 years and has now been teaching full time since 2018. Rob has trained with top teaching professionals and has attended Titleist Performance Institute Level 1 Training. He goes by the same philosophy as TPI, that there is no one perfect swing, but there is one perfect swing for every individual. Rob teaches every student as an individual and teaches them based on goals, body makeup and learning style. He believes the most important thing to teach is that the game is to be fun. Rob loves the chance to teach at TopGolf because it gives him an opportunity to to touch many people that would normally not be introduced to the game of golf.
