The 9th tournament will start the week of October 6th, 2024. Due to such a high participation rate in the league, we will be designating the following time slots for the league for those 7 weeks. 1. Sundays 6 PM 2. Sundays 8 PM 3. Mondays 7 PM 4. Mondays 9 PM 5. Wednesdays 5:30 PM 5. Wednesdays 7 PM 6. Wednesdays 9 PM This tournament will consist of 3 courses, which will be announced prior to League Night Kick-off. LEAGUE SCHEDULE: Week 1: October 6th/ 7th/ 9th : - Front 9 holes Week 2: October 13th/ 14th/ 16th : - Back 9 holes Week 3: October 20th/ 21st/ 23rd : - Front 9 holes Week 4: October 27th/ 28th/ 30th : - Back 9 holes Week 5: November 3rd/ 4th/ 6th : - Front 9 holes Week 6: November 10th/ 11th/ 13th : - Back 9 holes Week 7: November 17th-22nd: Playoffs SCORING: The tournament will be net score: (total strokes subtracted by the number of handicap strokes the player receives according to Course Handicap) Players will play 50% of their handicap (if the handicap is 14 or less) and 75% of their handicap (if 15 or greater) (greater of GHIN or G-Z Index - or the average of the two, based on # of rounds played for each) RULES: The first three courses will be Stroke Play (Players compete against all others in the competition by comparing a total score for one or more rounds) Playoffs will be Match Play. (Players play directly against an opponent in a head-to-head match.) Participants must play on their designated League Night slot (Sunday 6 PM, Sunday 8 PM, Monday 7 PM, Monday 9 PM, Wednesday 5:30PM, Wednesday 7 PM or Wednesday 9 PM). In a case where a player cannot make their scheduled League Night, they can play makeup rounds before the date of their next scheduled round. This does NOT apply to match-play playoffs Makeup rounds SIM fees apply Finalists MUST play on the agreed scheduled night on week 7. Players must play from the surface the ball lands on -fairway, light sand for fairway bunker, dark sand for greenside, and roughs. Cannot take a penalty to play from the fairway. WSGC host must take a photo of each scorecard. Players will have 25 minutes before the start time of the round to warm up. Please arrive at least a few minutes early to warm up, set up and log in to start the round promptly. If you are running late, please call the club and let us know. SIM SETTINGS: 1. All participants must be logged into their GolfZon account 2. Difficulty set to TOUR 3. Concede set to 9.02 feet 4. The second screen settings set to Semi-Tour 5. No mulligans allowed but set to 2 mulligans (in case the ball is accidentally moved and the system registers it as a stroke. All players must agree to use of a mulligan in those rare situations) 6. Men play from white tees; women play from Junior B. 7. The pin location will vary each week. WSGC host will let the players know the locations of the pin before the start of each round. 8. WSGC host must approve settings on each sim before the start of each round. PRIZES: The winner will receive 60% of the pot and their name on the Tournament Plaque. Runner Up- 25% of the pot 3rd and 4th Place - 7.5% of the pot Race to Sawgrass points will also be allocated. HOW TO JOIN THE LEAGUE: Members who wish to participate in the League: Please register on USchedule on the day/ time you would like to commit for the 6 weeks. Please include your GHIN handicap, Golfzon handicap, and Golfzon username. Registering sooner will give you a better chance of looking in your preferred day/time slot. The participation sim fee for all 7 weeks of league nights is $130 per player. Please bring $50 cash to the first League Night for the prize pot.
