BROWER STRENGTH - powered by HPT - brings you baseball-specific strength & conditioning that is focused on a whole-body approach to optimize health and elevate a player's athletic performance. Our workout details/training plan varies depending on the age group you fall into. The following is for age 15+ ***If you are someone who wants ALL the details then this section is for you. ***If you are someone who prefers the cliff-note version then we recommend you skip to the "DETAILS/SUMMARY" section below. ;) Brower Baseball training is conducted in very small groups to ensure players receive personal attention, customized instruction and are held accountable in executing quality work/reps. Brower Strength will be no different... Each athlete will go through a series of testing exercises to begin and will be retested as the program progresses in order to monitor improvement and make individualized adjustments, as needed. It is not uncommon to receive individual “homework” to maximize a player's benefit and performance in the group setting. Each workout will begin with a warm-up series designed to improve flexibility through the hips, shoulder and thoracic spine while increasing the heart rate and activating the nervous system. This is essential in order for players to maximize their benefit from the program and reduce the risk of injury. Baseball utilizes movement in both linear and lateral directions. The next phase of the workouts will address explosive power in each of these movement patterns. Athletes that improve power production through lower and upper body plyometric exercises can increase hitting distance, velocity and running speed. The final phase of each session will focus on strength training for the whole body. Athletes will be taught proper technique as a baseline and then will be guided through a gradual increase in resistance, as able. Increasing strength in the correct muscle groups will improve athletic performance as well as prevent injuries. Injuries are often caused by discrepancies in strength between muscle groups, lack of muscular support to joints and inefficient movement due to the lack of flexibility or mobility in the joint. HPT has designed our programs to correct or avoid common issues that baseball players may experience while improving the strength and power of the muscles needed while playing. DETAILS/SUMMARY: - Age 15+ - Small group setting - Max of 4-6 players - Multiple sessions to choose from each week beginning Sunday, April 14th - Workouts are 55 minutes each with a 5 minute transition window Weeks re-set on Sundays. There will be a primary and secondary workout to choose from each time you come in. If it is your first workout that week then you will choose "primary" and if it is your second then you will choose "secondary." All athletes are put through an assessment or testing & re-testing. Goals will include rotational power, focused hip-leg-core strength, shoulder mobility & stability and injury prevention - to name a few. SCHEDULE: Players are able to choose the workout day/time that best fits into their schedule each week. We recommend - but don't require - that players attend up to 2 workout each week for consistency. Day/time chosen each week does not need to be the same. COST: You will need to purchase a "pre-paid pack" of workout units and can then pull from that pre-paid pack to schedule your workouts. - Pack of 8: $280 - Pack of 12: $400 (a $20 savings) - Pack of 16: $515 (a $45 savings) HOW TO REGISTER: STEP 1: Go to "PACKS/PASSES" and purchase your preferred workout pack/series. Workout credits/units will be added to your account. STEP 2: Come back to this page and register for your workouts! You will be prompted to pay using one of your workout credits/units. **Please read RESCHEDULE and REFUND policy below prior to registering.** AGE GROUPS: Our training is based on a player's ACTUAL AGE and not their playing level. For example... A player that is 12 years old and plays 13u should register for age 10-12 programs - not age 13-15. Thank you. **RESCHEDULE POLICY: You may cancel or reschedule your workout sessions as needed! We ask for a 48-hour notice when you need to make a change. Our groups are very small, so slots are limited and therefore we need a little time to give other players (who may have needed that slot) the chance to see it is newly available and register for it, especially for a session that is full. If within that time frame then we will cancel your workout and just add a unit back into your pack to reschedule when ready. Thank-you! Workout units that have gone unused by the end of this Spring session will remain in your account to use during the Summer session as well!
