No matter what location you sign up for, ALL programs will be run out of Champions Hall in Eden Prairie for the first 2 weeks. We love this time of year for training. Winter development is the #1 tool needed to properly prepare a player to stay strong, healthy and handle the upcoming stresses of a long baseball season - both mentally & physically. Time is needed to create a quality work-up in order to reactivate strengths from the previous season & work on areas of needed improvement. Our 12-week Winter Development Programs (Dec-March) are designed to guide players through that process. Our Pitching Development Program (PDP) combines arm strengthening, mechanical refinement, and pitch development. It is tailored for both pitchers and dual-position players seeking to enhance their arm strength and throwing skills. PDP follows a structured weekly progression to effectively prepare players for their upcoming season. PDP meets once a week, while our ACE program is twice a week and ACE+ (plus) is three times a week. DETAILS: - 60 minutes, 1x/week, 12 weeks - Small group setting - max of 6 players - Age Group: 10-11 (actual age, not playing level - see age guidelines below) - Cost: $865 - Initial payment of $325 plus 2 payments of $270 billed monthly starting 1 month from the purchase date. - See "DATE RANGE" info below for the date range your specific session will fall within. - Instructors: Jim Brower, Cole DeVries and Eric Fischer - See "MEET OUR TEAM" below to get to know us better! ADDITIONS: The following additions are not listed under each program description, but apply to ALL of our Winter programs... 1. SMALL GROUP: We love training in groups of no more than six players, ensuring all of our players receive focused attention and tailored coaching. Exceptions will be clearly communicated. 2. MINDSET and GAME APPROACH is a weekly focus in all programs. Our goal is to teach both mental resilience and game understanding. 3. TECHNOLOGY/ANALYTICS: Technology played an integral part of our experience in the professional game and therefore is worked into most of our training. Depending on the program and age group, we incorporate tools such as Rapsodo, radar, HitTrax, biomechanical assessments, force plate technology, and video analysis. We introduce these technologies with our primary goal always being to help players understand the "why" behind what we teach, enhancing their baseball IQ and preparing them for real-game situations when immediate feedback (technology) isn’t there to depend on. DATE RANGE: The following date ranges are for ALL 2024-25 Winter Training Programs. Programs are 12-weeks and will run from early December through mid-March. Once you register, you will find the day(s) of the week your program falls on for your date range and exclusions (Winter break & Super Bowl Sunday) - SUNDAYS: Dec. 8th - March 9th. (OFF 12/29, 2/9) - MONDAYS: Dec. 9th - March 10th (OFF 12/23, 12/30) - TUESDAYS: Dec. 10th - March 11th. (OFF 12/24, 12/31) - WEDNESDAYS: Dec. 11th - March 12th (OFF 12/25, 1/1) - THURSDAYS: Dec. 12th - March 6th (OFF 12/26) - FRIDAYS: Dec. 13th - March 7th. (OFF 12/27) - SATURDAYS: Dec. 14th - March 8th. (OFF 12/28) IMPORTANT DETAILS... 1. LOCATIONS: - Champions Hall (denoted as CHAMP) - 7000 Washington Ave South, Eden Prairie, MN 55341... Sits on the border of Eden Prairie and Edina, right in the middle of where Hwy 494-169-62 intersect. - Jet 55 (denoted as JET55) - 12755 Hwy 55, Plymouth, MN 55441... Sits right on the border of Plymouth & Minnetonka/Wayzata, right in the middle of where Hwy 494-6-55 intersect. 2. TRAINING AGE: Our training is based on a player's "actual age" and NOT their "playing age or level." For example... A player that is 11 years old and plays 12u should register for age 9-11 programs and NOT age 12-14 programs. 3. AGE LIMIT: Players can register for a session prior to turning the required age, but they must turn that age at some point during the program. 4. AGE BRACKETS: Please pay attention to the way we combine ages when registering. Age brackets can vary from one program to another, depending on what the curriculum entails. 5. PAYMENTS: All programs are automatically put on a payment plan. Initial payment will be due at the time of registration and remaining payments will run automatically every 30 days until satisfied. 6. LESSONS IN THE WINTER: Please don't plan to depend on lessons for your source of training with us during the Winter. Our main instructors run all of our development programs so finding hours to also offer 1:1 time is very rare. 7. PERSONAL EQUIPMENT: Players must provide their own personal equipment for all programs. 8. CANCELLATION POLICY: Please familiarize yourself with our cancellation policy prior to registering for any of our Winter programs... - Participants who cancel any Winter Development Program registration prior to November 1, 2024 may contact us for a full refund or training credit - less a $75 non-refundable administrative fee per program. No cancellations/refunds after November 1, 2024 unless accompanied by a physician's note showing medical necessity, and in that case the refund would be a future training credit, less $75 or 10% of total paid - whichever is greater. - There are no make-ups or refunds for missed sessions throughout the 12-week program. However, this Winter we are working on a night where we can offer players who miss a session the opportunity to use training space for some independent training. We will communicate details as we dial them in. MEET OUR TEAM... Development and Individualized training is what we specialize in. We have a small, but AMAZING, team of coaches/experts. Here is a very brief intro to our main instructors... We do bring in guest instructors as Jim sees fit. JIM BROWER - Pitching, Hitting & Catching. Jim teaches and oversees all curriculum and programs taught at Brower Baseball. He brings extensive experience from all aspects of Major League Baseball in playing, coaching, analytics, program design and working with championship teams. To think... It all started when he was six years old, right here in Minnetonka, MN... DAMEK TOMSCHA - Hitting & Fielding Damek was team captain at Auburn and is a veteran of 9 professional seasons, including time with our very own MN Twins organization. During his time with the Phillies he played 4 different positions (3B, 1B, LF, RF)... he is a man of many talents. ERIC FISCHER - Pitching Coach Eric was drafted by the Chicago White Sox and selected in the rule-5 draft by the MN Twins, also a veteran of 9 professional seasons. He brings a passion for coaching, pitching and the importance of the mental side needed in this awesome game. And he is a lefty... so there is that. :) COLE DEVRIES - Pitching & Hitting For those of you who haven't worked with Cole yet, he is a former Gopher & Major League pitcher with the Twins... is Brower-certified ;)... and is awesome.
