I am very happy to be part of the Three Rivers Golf Academy Program at Hyland. This is where I learned to play golf when our family moved to Bloomington in 1965. My Dad took me here after his work day and we enjoyed this great game together.

Fast forward a bit: I graduated from St Olaf in 1975, then the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1979. I was in private practice in Minneapolis  and then Bloomington . In 2013, I joined the faculty at the U of Minnesota School of Dentistry. I retired in 2021.

I am starting my fourth season at Hyland as a Three Rivers Golf Academy Instructor. I enjoy teaching private, semiprivate ,and group lessons to all ages and skill levels. My goal is to find and improve upon the golf game that is within each of us. My hope is that everyday each golfer gets a little bit better and has fun in the process. 

Golf is such a wonderful game. I play as much as the weather and my 71 year old body allows. I also continue to be a student of the game. I love learning from my own swing coach as well as coaches I have followed in instructional books and  online.

My hope is that I can share my love of the game with you and pass on a bit of new knowledge so that the game of golf becomes a passion for you as well.
