Ben is a scratch golfer that is currently training to play professionally. Ben started playing tournaments at the age of 12 and lettered four consecutive years for varsity golf in high school. Growing up, he was surrounded by some of the top teaching professionals in the midwest and learned to teach alongside his father, Scott Dirck, one of Minnesota's top ten instructors for well over ten years. After high school, he played collegiate golf on scholarship and progressed his playing abilities to a plus-two handicap. He has managed Jr. golf programs and has trained players at every skill level and age.
Ben's main philosophy surrounding golf and the golf swing is keeping it simple and keeping it fun. He believes that teaching people about the golf swing and educating them on the why's and how's behind a change is essential. In the past, Ben helped develop the junior golf programs at his home golf course exponentially. Many of the students who partook in those Jr. golf programs went on to win Jr. PGA events, high school sectional championships, top ten finishes at state golf tournaments, and even winners of state championships. Along with that, many golfers who went through the Jr. golf program he helped run ended up playing collegiate golf, and many of them played on scholarship. Ben has a deep passion for working with young athletes, and golfers of all ages and abilities, because he understands, respects, and sees every player's potential.
