About Me 

Katie first started golf as a freshman in high school. She would soon find out that she loved the game and wanted to make a future out of it. She accepted a full ride scholarship from Henderson State University where her and her team won the Great American Conference for the first time in history of the University. Katie graduated from HSU with a major in Sports Management and a minor in Psychology. 

Golf Experience  

Katie has been teaching and coaching golf for over 10 years. She is a PGA Assoicate and soon will become a PGA member. Katie has competed in hundreds of tournaments starting as a junior and then college and still plays in local professional tournaments. After college, she went straight into teaching at Topgolf for the last 10 years. 

Teaching Style 

Katie’s teaching style is fun and upbeat. She understands that every student has a different goal, and she is easily adaptable to each student. She likes to keep instruction concise and incorporates drills to help the student with positive progression towards learning the proper positions and motor movements.

“My students make my job the best job in the world. Watching them and celebrating the victories is the best feeling. Golf is the best sport to learn because it can take you all over the world.” 

Off the Teeline  

When Katie is not coaching, you will find her on the golf course. She is a big sport watcher, especially her Dallas Cowboys!
