About Me

Ed grew up in the Cincinnati, OH area playing golf at a course in the neighborhood he lived in. Most days were spent on the golf course playing as much as possible with other kids in the area. The golf bug bit him there and he continued playing competitively as much as possible.


Golf Experience

Playing High School golf and then college golf at Eastern Kentucky University, he homed his game and, more importantly, his love of the nuances of the golf swing. After college, he began his career as a Golf Professional and a member of the PGA of America. In addition to local professional wins, he won numerous Section PGA awards over the years. Ed is one of a small number of “Quarter Century Club” members of the PGA (25 years of service and membership).


Teaching Style

Ed likes to understand each student’s swing as their own. He does not subscribe to a specific method but, tailors his teaching style around each individual person and their own swing / body characteristics. He firmly believes there is no “one specific swing model”. Each student has their own rhythm, body type and limitations.


Why Ed Loves Coaching

Ed loves to coach to see the enjoyment in his student’s eyes after a crisply struck shot. Each student has different goals, and all lessons are tailored to meet those goals no matter how large or small.


Off the Teeline

When not teaching at Topgolf, I am spending time with my wife and 5 children. My children and I are fond of fishing at nearby lakes and enjoying most sports. Growing up in Cincinnati, we are all diehard Bengals fans.
