Matt Brunetz, PGA
Director of Instruction at Topgolf Ridgeland
About Me
Matt was born in Cleveland, OH and grew up in Memphis,
TN. He moved to Colorado Springs, CO
after he got married and while working part time at a driving range, fell in
love with the aspect of working in the golf industry. Now in the business for 25 years, he has held
every role on the golf operations side of the game.
Golf Experience
Now in the business for 25 years, he has held every role on
the golf operations side of the game. He
gained his PGA Class A Membership in 2010.
Along the way, he has been certified through the PGA Coach program and
the American Development Model (ADM) to work with juniors of all ages. He also helps run the PGA Hope programs in
the area, helping veterans and active-duty military personnel. He has dialed his love of helping students
reach their goals- whether short or long term.
Teaching Style
Matt believes in applying the basic fundamentals and then
letting the student’s natural ability shape their golf swing. One approach doesn’t fit everyone. He believes that “keeping it simple” makes it
easier to advance in the student’s learning and reaching their goals.
Why Matt Loves Coaching
Introducing new players to the game of golf is especially
rewarding for Matt. He really enjoys
being able to share his knowledge of the golf swing so that others can work at
their own pace at improving their golf game.
Off the Teeline
When not in the venue, Matt enjoys riding motorcycles or
camping out west in the mountains. He
also spends time working as the Vice President of the Gulf States Section of
the PGA of America (Mississippi and Louisiana).
