Wayne Clark grew up in a small town 45 minutes north of Seattle where he was active in many sports. His first year of college was spent at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA, where he decided to focus on golf as his main sport. After transferring to the University of Washington, he made the varsity team as a walk-on and traveled the country with the Husky golfers for the next three years. In his senior year, he was selected as captain of the team. The day after his last college event, he decided to turn professional and enter the PGA Apprenticeship program where for the past 33 years he has been a member of the PGA of America and has sat on the Board of Directors for the Pacific Northwest, Southwest, and Northern California Sections. He has managed and taught at facilities in Washington, Oregon, Arizona, and California. For the past 6 years he has been a member of the Troon Management Company overseeing golf operations in the Seattle area. He has earned a spot on the Senior Professional Pacific Northwest Hudson Cup team 7 times, has qualified for 2 National Club Professional tournaments, and the highlight of his career was winning the 2013 Northern California PGA Match Play Championship at Pebble Beach.
